- Letter authorizing Destination Agent to clear shipment
- Detailed Inventory in ENGLISH with values, dated and signed
- Original bill of lading and two copies with price of freight indicated
CUSTOMS REGULATIONS
- Document for free entry (for diplomats) requires 20 days to be obtained
- CUSTOMER MUST BE PRESENT FOR CLEARANCE TO AVOID BONDED STORAGE
CHARGES
- All shipments must arrive within six months of Customer's arrival
- Shipments inspected at random
- Customer is to complete Declaration Form
- Original documents must arrive before the shipment

- Foodstuff
- Motor vehicles
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Drugs
- Meat
- Plants
- Firearms (will be held until license obtained - about six months)
- Pornographic Material
- Left hand motor vehicles prohibited
- Alcohol or any other spirits are prohibited and subject to more than 100% tax.
MOTOR VEHICLES
- One auto allowed
- Taxed according to value (if exceeding $5,000) and mileage
DUTIES
For new personal effects:
- 25 percent of the invoice value plus 17.5 percent VAT on electrical items
- 15 percent of the invoice value plus 17.5 percent VAT on computers
For new cars:
- 25 percent of the declared value (invoice is needed) plus 17.5 percent VAT
